The Resource program provides services to the students identified with a verified handicapping condition. Students are identified for the Resource program through the Multidisciplinary Team(MDT). The MDT is responsible for the analysis, assessment and documentation of educational and developmental abilities of each child referred for the purpose of individual evaluation. When a student meets the verification guidlines set by the Nebraska Department of Education Rule 51, the team develops an Individual Education Plan. The IEP is a written statement which specifies the special education services appropriate for the student and a statement of which specifies the special education services appropriate for the student and a statement of measureable annual goals, including benchmarks related to meeting the student's needs that result from the disability. The Resource teachers are responsibile for documentation toward goals and the implementation of the IEP program.
